Sondrio, Saturday, December 18. 19.30. The bell tower in Piazza Campello two strange shapes, illuminated by a beam of light, progressing upward, parallel, clinging to every rock and ledge of the tower ligariana. The crowd that had gathered under it, however, does not seem particularly anxious. Indeed, all around were shouting encouragement, applause, fireworks: even if, at some point, one of the two figures falls backward, bouncing in the air for a moment. The figure that is higher at this point, grab the rope that is attached to the companion, and with a tremendous effort over the sway the most demanding, reliable.
